About me
I was born on the tenth day of June in 1972, Portugal's national day, and raised in Valongo a small town near Oporto, worldwide famous for their Port wine. From an early age I was amazed by the technical stuff, always dismantling my toys just to see how they worked and watching the scientific programs on television.
It wasn't long before I had my first contact with computers, which happened when my parents offered my brothers and me our first computer, a magnificent ZX Spectrum with 48k RAM! Even though my first contact with computers was with games, soon I found myself writing my first programs in Basic and having a lot of fun.
Later I took a degree in Computer science at the Superior Institute of Oporto and after that another one in Computer Sciences and Systems Engineering at the University of Minho, Braga, and from there I got my very first job in a software/hardware company. My first car was a small VW Polo, very nice and powerful enough for a rookie driver!
At twenty-seven years old, I immigrated to the United States to work for Inthink Corporation, a computer consulting firm. Now I am looking forward to a new and exciting challenge with a new firm.
My first contract work was for the Renault Portugal and continued at Inthink Corporation, doing work for
